The book entitled, Memories of Chireno, published by the Chireno Historical Society, is a wonderful collection of fact, fiction, folklore and memories of families living in and around Chireno.  A few copies are still available for $25.00 each, plus $3.00 shipping.  All proceeds from the sale of the books benefit the Chireno Historical Society in their historical restoration projects.
